The challenge is letter Q. The patterns I used - Quib and Quatiny.

That's New To Me #13

Week #13 challengs - letter L. I chose Luv-A, Lukiline and Lotadots.
Drawn on a new blackpaper sketchpad from Derwent. So nice paper, so velvety and smooth. And a new white gel pen from Sakura (JAP) GellyRoll 0.8. It's really white and has such a nice line. A bit colored with Koh-I-Noor colorpencils (yellow. green and orange).
I am so happy with my new toys)))

Tackle It Tuesday - D-E-F

We continiue with the alphabeticals (if there's such a word) and this week challenge is D-E-F.
I choose a lot of patterns - Fleurette, Footlites, Double Loop de Loop and Echoism.

I'm proud of all F's and D's but my Echoism could've been a lot better, indeed. I do not like the mess I've made with it :(

Still, here is my DEF tile. Only liners on the watercolored paper.

Diva's Weekly #203

And we got a pattern to explore - Athitzi by idiloewenherz

Well, let me say, it seems like it is one of the easiest tangle pattern that I've met, but  in reality - not so much. ;)

The easiest one, imho, is CO2, which you can see in my tile, along with Beadlines and Flowtus (by Molossus).

I've only used two colors of my Pigma Micron - black (0.2) and orange (0.5), but the background is my watercolored sheet of paper and I haven't finished with it yet. The next one tile is on it, too, and there will be two more :).

That's New to Me week #5

Hoorah!)) I'm so in love with this challenge! Can't wait till every new Sunday))

Today we have letter M and I choose Moon Rocks and Me Three for my tile.

In the previous post I said that yesterday I had been experimenting with new watercolor papers which have an "eggshell' surface. It is so nice for watercolor layering. And today I used that colored paper for the challenges.

So, here is my two new tangles

At this photo you can see the texture of the paper, if you squint ;) I decided to leave it like this, without any coloring.

Tackle it Tuesday - A-B-C

That's week challenge on Tackle it Tuesday was with abbreviation A-B-C.
My choice are Antidots, Btljoos and Chime.

Yesterday I tried a new kind of watercolor paper with "eggshell" surface and it was so wonderful to the touch and to the layers of watercolors, especially when it dried. I was just experimenting and decided that this colored paper would be good to tangle on. So, I took my liners and tangled. And then colored the tile with my Derwent Inktense.

It's looks a bit messy but I don't want to change anything. Right now I'm trying to be creative not perfect so "bit messy' is a strugle for me, indeed. :)

Diva's Weekly #202

Started it last weekend, but didn't like the result. Today rethought the design and did it well.

So, according to Diva's weekly #202 we should've created a Duotangle with only two patterns, Copada and Chebucto, both by Margaret Bremner.
Also, I used the TanglePatterns String #94, which, imho, was the best way to explore those patterns.

I colored them with my Koh-i-Noor Polycolor 24 colorpencils set and at last liked the result ;)

Tackle it Tuesday #57

#57 of Tackle it Tuesday challenged us for the J-A-N abbreviation.
Jan for me is Janus - one of Roman gods:

In ancient Roman religion and mythology, Janus (Latin: Ianus) is the god of beginnings and transitions, thence also of gates, doors, doorways, endings and time. He is usually a two-faced god since he looks to the future and the past.

The Romans dedicated the month of January to Janus.

So, Janus was my first choice, I just needed right tangles. Which are Jilli, Jitters, Allium, Nippa and Neuron. Hope I did well :)

The Diva's Weekly Challenge #201

This week's challenge of the Diva is dedicated to Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day, which is on the 24th of January.
I tried to fill in the offered logo and combine Onamato tangle with something that will complete it. The tangles are Msst, BB, Teardrops Tops and some others as well as my own improvisation.
The purple color is the color of the Moebius Syndrome Foundation (which logo is the main concept of the challenge). Also it is the color of faith and belief. The orange and yellow is my own colors for hope and optimism.

Tangle patterns string #138

Tried myself at the string thingy offered by Tanglepatterns. The string is provided by CZT Lianne Woods. It is so simple that you just want to complicate it a bit ;)

My mistake, I didn't write down which patterns I choose and I'm sure that some of it was my own improvisation)).  Well, I'll try to not make that mistake again.

Muster Mixed Challenge #2: Mix Arucas and Balloya

I found about this challenge thru one of the blogs I'm reading. And decided to challenge myself.
So, I tried to mix those two tangles - Arucas by Molly Hollibaugh and Balloya by Anya Lothrop. They are both so beautiful geometric tangles, and I later used them in one of my artworks.
But, here we go with MusterMixed challenge!

I've made a bit of mistakes with orange and yellow color, but you'll notice it if you're are really looking, I think ;)

That's New to Me, week 1
